I NEED HELP FOR THE

INTER-HOUSE G.P. VIDEO COMPEITION 2OO8.
SINGAPORE : CURRENT ISSUES AND TRENDS.

IT'S compulsory ):

ENTRY rules :

1) each class is to send only one team ( 5members) to take part.

2) each team is to produce only one video clip ~_~

3) The Theme is stated on top ^^

4) the video clip should aim to highlight one significant singapore issue or trnd related to any one of the following GP topics :

• Education..
• Capital Punishment...
• Family Issues....
• Mass Media.....
• Environmet.....
• Culture......
• The Arts.......
• Politics........
• Or any other topics related to GP .........

5) must not contain any violence, profanity, nudity =.= , or sexual content -.-.

6) video must be clear and of good quality.

7) Must be targeted at an english-speaking audience aged 16years old and above.

8) DURATION OF THE VIDEO CLIP : not more than 10mins (:

9) video clip for the contest must be an original work and must not infringe upon the copyrights , trademarks , rights of privacy or other intellectual property of any person or entity.

10) the video clip must not include any footage which has previously been aired on any broadcast or cable network or distrubuted in any motion picture theatres. ( cannot take from movie la! must be original ~ )

11) Video clip must be contained in a CD as uncompressed MPEG, AVI, WMV or MOV format.

12) participation in this compeition entails the obligation to comply with the above-mentioned rules and regulations. failure to do so will be disqualified lor..

JUDGING CRITERIA:

1)IT WILL BE judged alongside those submitted by other classes.

2)Judges will assess the video clips based on :

• PRESENTATION (40%)-(aesthetics, video production skills, coherence of ideas and messages, standard of english used by participants in the video.)
• CONTENT (40%)-( relevance to theme, engagement with subject matter , insight offered, quality of discussion,etc)
• CREATIVITY AND ORIGINALITY(20%)-(originality of chosen issue, creativity of video production, creativity/style of delivery of content,etc.)

3) judges' decision will be final and no further correspondence will be entertained.........

SUBMISSION DATE : ANY DAY BEFORE 20MAY2008(TUE)

HOUSE POINTS AND PRIZES :

Champion,firstrunnerup,second runnerup, FOUR commendations WILL receive house points, individual certs and class hampers!

In addition , top winning videoclip(s) will be showcased to the college during on of the assembly slots.
